Microinverters work on a modular level, so should one module/inverter fail, the remaining modules will still perform.

The BPE 4 Port Quad Microinverter is a grid-tied microinverter with an intelligent networking and monitoring system to ensure maximum efficiency. Dependable and cost effective, the 4 Port Quad Microinverter handles up to 4 x 210W-370W panels with negligible clipping, delivering power per module with quad MPPT. Up to four 4 Port Quad Microinverters can be in a string with a 25A breaker. 

Microinverters V String Inverters

With BPE’s Microinverters, whether it’s shade, dirt or a faulty panel, only the individual panel is affected, while the others keep performing to their fullest. The String Inverter system can only perform as well as its lowest-performing panel, so if shade or an obstruction hinders a panel’s performance, every other panel operates at the same diminished capacity.
